Gabriele Beveridge creates startling pieces of visual theatre comprised of a motley cast: fading, found photographic portraits pitched into a world of reclaimed industrial materials and elemental forces. Her practice might be compared to theatrical direction or dramaturgy, a compositional process that takes into account the charismatic as much as the aesthetic connections between the members of a company.
